These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Polar Innovation ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the Sandman mobile application, the dreaminsights.org website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, downloading the App, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.


1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.


2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.


3. Subscriptions and Payments

3.1 Subscription products

The App offers auto-renewing subscriptions ("Sandman Pro") at the prices and durations displayed at the point of purchase. Current options include monthly and annual plans, which may include a free trial or introductory price.

3.2 Payment

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store using your Apple ID. We do not directly receive or store your payment details.

3.3 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iOS Settings → [Apple ID] → Subscriptions.

3.4 Free trials

If a subscription includes a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription before the trial ends.

3.5 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple and refund requests must be made through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not directly issue refunds.

3.6 Price changes

We may change subscription prices. Material price increases will be communicated in advance and will require your consent before taking effect for your subscription, in accordance with Apple's policies.

We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.


5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the dream content, journal entries, and other material you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, to interpret your dream, generate an image, save it to your journal, and produce derived analyses (themes, summaries) shown back to you.

We do not use Your Content for advertising, public display outside features you initiate, or to train third-party AI models.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that it does not violate the rights of any third party.


6. AI-Generated Output

The Service uses third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI) to generate interpretations, summaries, and images. AI output:

You use AI-generated output at your own discretion and risk.


7. Intellectual Property

The App, the Site, our trademarks, designs, and original content are owned by Polar Innovation and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.


8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties (Apple, Google, Supabase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Railway, others). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.


9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (e.g., §5 license, §10 disclaimers, §11 liability, §13 governing law).


10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

THE SERVICE IS NOT INTENDED TO PROVIDE MEDICAL, MENTAL-HEALTH, LEGAL, OR FINANCIAL ADVICE. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING DISTRESS OR A MENTAL-HEALTH EMERGENCY, CONTACT A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL OR LOCAL EMERGENCY SERVICES.


11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POLAR INNOVATION AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.


12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Polar Innovation from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) Your Content, or (c) your misuse of the Service.


13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, except that you may bring claims in your local small-claims court if eligible.

If you reside in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws apply to the extent required.


14. Apple-Specific Terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Polar Innovation only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.


15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in the App and/or by email and will become effective as stated in the notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
